The plan is visual and allows for continual scrutiny, enabling projects to be assessed for capability and risk. The earliest identification of potential difficulties affords the ability to prevent occurrence rather than reaction during critical stages.

Production scheduling is continually monitored to ensure it is aligned with the project plan, and to identify any improvement opportunities. All information is communicated on a regular basis; keeping the customer abreast of the current status.
